Tootoomoo: Sauce Communications to represent pan-Asian restaurant group in North London
Sauce Communications is delighted to announce that it is now representing Tootoomoo – the fun, pan-Asian restaurant group with four sites located in Whetstone, Crouch End, Islington and Highgate. All the restaurants have a takeaway service and, with the exception of the Highgate branch, offer dine-in seating.
Launched in 2012 by restaurateur Phillip McGuinness, Tootoomoo prides itself in offering a family-friendly dining experience to each of its local customer bases. The name derives from an ancient Indonesian folk tale about a girl called Tootoomoo and her friend The Giant. Their friendship was forged through sharing good food – an important value which is at the heart of Tootoomoo.
Combining Malaysian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese influences, Tootoomoo’s menu has been carefully designed by the group’s Executive Chef, Ricky Pang. Using both ancient and modern cooking techniques, Pang has devised a list of healthy and delicious dishes.
Signature highlights include: Shichimi squid, Japanese pepper and sweet chilli; Chicken gyoza with black rice vinaigrette; Duck & watermelon salad, cashews & hoisin; Softshell crab tempura, shichimi salt & yuzu mayo; Pad Thai noodles with seasonal vegetables, egg, chilli, lime & peanut. In addition, Tootoomoo has an extensive drinks list, including Asian-inspired cocktails such as The Tom Yam (vodka, coconut, lemongrass, chill), Japanese Bloody Mary (vodka, tomato juice, soya, wasabi) and a Spicy Cucumber Margarita (spicy tequila, Cointreau, lime, cucumber).
Tootoomoo has also just launched a bottomless weekend brunch at its Crouch End and Islington restaurants (available from noon until close). The brunch menu is priced at £35pp (including food and drinks) for 90 minutes or £45pp for two hours, and dishes can be chosen from the full à la carte menu.
