London, August 2018..// This December, visionary hotelier and one of Britain’s most celebrated chefs, Michael Caines invites guests to join him to experience Christmas and New Year at Lympstone Manor. Whether staying over the festive period and enjoying Michelin-starred traditional Christmas lunch, or celebrating New Year at the hotel’s annual black-tie gala, Lympstone Manor will be full of festive cheer. With a roaring fire, views of the Exe Estuary and the glorious Devon hills, this historic Grade II listed Georgian manor house and its Michelin-star restaurant is the perfect setting to get into the Christmas spirit and start 2019 with a bang.

 

Christmas with Caines, 18th December 2018

On December 18, Michael will personally welcome guests into Lympstone Manor with flûtes of MC Champagne and canapés for the hotel’s ‘Christmas with Caines’ evening. Guests will be seated in one of the manor’s three dining rooms, followed by a six-course Christmas Signature tasting menu carefully crafted by Michael and his team to deliver an exceptional experience infused with festive cheer. Each course is accompanied by a matched wine that has been specially selected by sommelier Marko Mägi from their 600-bin wine cellar to perfectly complement and enhance the dish.

The ‘Christmas with Caines’ dinner starts at £240 per person or £729 which includes a 25% discount, overnight accommodation and breakfast for two guests.

 

Christmas Lunch at Lympstone Manor

Throughout December, lunches and afternoon teas at Lympstone Manor will be served with a festive twist, complete with mince pies and coffee, open to both hotel guests and non-residents. The hotel will be running a festive lunch menu from 30th November – 24th December, serving Devon reared turkey with all the trimmings, and Christmas pudding from Michael Caines’ mother’s traditional recipe. The hotel’s festive afternoon teas include turkey sandwiches with cranberry, festive cakes and mince pies. Lympstone Manor will be offering a Christmas five-course menu at either lunch or dinner.

From 30th November – 24th December, a full afternoon tea at Lympstone Manor starts at £45, and their festive lunch menu starts at £45 for two courses mid-week, £60 for three courses, finished with coffee and mince pies for £8.

On Christmas day, the hotel’s five-course Christmas tasting menu starts at £130 per person, including coffees and mince pies, and can be served for either lunch or dinner. On Boxing Day, guests and non-residents can enjoy the three-course menu at £70 per person, or the signature eight course tasting menu at £145 per person.

Stay at Lympstone Manor this Christmas

For those looking to experience the luxury and beauty of Lympstone Manor over Christmas, the hotel welcomes guests for a three-night stay from the 24th to 27th December for an exceptional seasonal experience. Upon arrival at the magnificent manor on Christmas Eve, mulled wine and mince pies await. Guests can join other residents for a group wine tasting experience with Lympstone Manor’s knowledgeable sommelier Marko and wine expert Steve Edwards, before evening canapés and aperitifs are served. Entertainment is provided with a performance from The Swing Kings playing smooth festive jazz while guests relax. Michael Caines’ Signature eight-course tasting menu will follow, allowing diners to savour dishes selected by him. A chauffeur service to Exeter Cathedral for Midnight Mass will be available.

Christmas Day at Lympstone Manor will be filled with the sounds of carols and festive spirit. An extended Champagne breakfast followed by a five-course Christmas Tasting menu is served over either lunch or dinner, including Michael’s mums famous Christmas pudding. On Boxing Day, take a leisurely stroll around the grounds of Lympstone Manor or join a tour of the nearby coastline and River Exe with a local guide. Later, an à la carte dinner will be served for the final evening at the manor.

Rooms for the three-night Christmas Package at Lympstone Manor start from £797 per night, based on two sharing, and includes all the package activities, food and drink elements mentioned above (excluding the chauffeur service). Extra nights and extensions are available.

 

New Year’s at Lympstone Manor

With the luxury, comfort and elegance of Lympstone Manor, there is no better place to see in the New Year this December. Lympstone Manor will be offering a three-night gala package from the 30th December 2018 – 2nd January 2019. On New Year’s Eve, guests will celebrate in style at Lympstone Manor’s black-tie gala, complete with aperitifs, canapes, Michael Caines’ Signature tasting menu and a matched flight of special wines. At midnight, a Champagne toast will be followed by an exquisite firework display across the hotel’s expansive lawns and the Exe estuary. New Year’s Day is celebrated with a leisurely guided walk along the coast and River Exe. In the evening guests are invited to dine at the manor with an inclusive à la carte menu. Non-residents are also welcome to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Lympstone Manor at the black-tie gala.

The three-night New Year’s package at Lympstone Manor starts from £873 per night, based on double occupancy.

New Year’s Eve celebrations for non-residents start at £295 per person, including Champagne, canapes, aperitifs, Michael’s Signature tasting menu and matching wine flight, accompanied by the fireworks display and Champagne toast. On New Year’s Day, guests and non-residents can enjoy a three-course lunch at £60 per person.
