As the nights draw in we’re seeking comfort in our favorite winter warmers and want to share them with you…

Bone Daddies

Is there anything more warming than a steaming hot bowl of ramen? Since the ramen boom of 2012, when Bone Daddies Ramen Bar arrived in Soho with a bang, London’s hunger for ramen shows no signs of waning. Playfully named in honour of the rich bone stock that forms the basis of ramen dishes, Bone Daddies offers a menu featuring up to ten innovative and exciting flavours, different toppings and the crucial ‘Nitamago’, a marinated soft-boiled egg, as well as a variety of snacks. The traditional cloudy broths of fish, pork and chicken bones are stirred up with a delicious dash of originality, with Ross taking full advantage of the lack of conventional rules regarding ramen noodle dishes to push the boundaries and shift perceptions of what Japanese food can offer.

Margot offers a true celebration of seamless service, refined interiors and the authentic food of Italy, alongside an extensive international wine list. Calling upon a rich childhood immersed in Italian cooking, the classically trained Executive Chef Maurizio Morelli brings diners an authentic taste of Italy’s various gastronomic regions, with delicate, yet flavourful plates executed with the chef’s light touch. Offering dishes in two sizes allows customers the chance to enjoy delicious warming plates of pasta no matter how hungry they are. Stand out options from Margot’s autumn menu include the tagiolini with Sicilian red prawns.

Galvin Green Man

One of Essex’s oldest pubs dating back to 1314 has reopened as the Galvin Green Man. The once derelict building has undergone a sympathetic £3 million renovation to see the pub restored to its former glory, making it an ideal spot to enjoy some quintessential English pub food around a roaring fire. Warren Geraghty, along with Head Chef, Jack Boast, have worked with Chris and Jeff to create a menu full of comforting pub classics. Signature dishes from the main dining room menu will include: Colchester crab mayonnaise, watercress and rye bread; and game pie with braised red cabbage.
