Tis the season for Taste of London Winter, the food festival that’s a firm favourite on the Sauce calendar. This year Taste arrives in East London at the Tobacco Dock from Thursday November 20th to Sunday November 23rd. The festival offers food lovers the chance to sample the best culinary creations from some of the capital’s finest chefs and restaurants. The four day event will be packed with food stalls, demonstrations, talks, tastings, and visitors will be encouraged to indulge in everything from chocolate, wine and cheese sampling to cooking master classes with top chefs. Wintery twists on classic dishes, live music and plenty of holiday gifts to choose from, make Taste of Winter London the ultimate gourmet destination this festive season.

Bringing the BBQ back to life at The Fire Pit, there will be an exciting demonstration from Ian Pengelley, executive head chef at The Mango Tree, at 8pm on Thursday the 20th.

Jacques Fourie and Ben Tish Ember Yard

 Ember Yard, the latest addition to the Salt Yard Group, will be also be showcasing specialties from their Spanish and Italian style tapas menu. Chef Director of the Salt Yard Group, Ben Tish, will be demonstrating in the Electrolux Taste Theatre on Friday 21st November at 9:15pm.

Ross Clarke

Ross Clarke from Dirty Bones will be demoing at the Fire Pit on Saturday at 1.15pm and cooking Hay & coffee smoked pigs head with spiced apple fluid gel & a warm grilled potato salad.

Tam Storrar of Blanchette

Tam Storrar of Blanchette will be demoing a delicious dish of lamb neck larded with anchovy, rosemary and garlic, accompanied by pit roast onions and smoked garlic ailoi at the Fire Pit on Saturday the 22nd at 2pm.

Anna Morris of Le Coq

Ana Morris will be demoing at the Fire Pit on Sunday November 23rd at 2:45pm. In classic Le Coq fashion, we’re guessing she will be cooking up a mouth-watering chicken dish.

Robert Ortiz of Lima

David Ortiz will be demoing from the Peruvian restaurant Lima, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.

Shake Shack

The Shake Shack will be cooking up their delicious Lil’Shack Burger, made with 100% Aberdeen Angus beef, and Lil ‘Shroom Burger with crisp-fried Portobello mushrooms.
