It’s back and tastier than ever! Taste of London returns this year from 15th-19th of June 2016 where Regents Park will yet again be transformed into a culinary paradise. Renowned for being the World’s Greatest Restaurant Festival, Taste offer an amazing range of activities including indulging in signature dishes from a selection of London’s finest restaurants and watching demos from the city’s most respected chefs. We’ve selected a few of our favourite events that will be showcasing which will undoubtedly get everyone’s taste buds tingling.

Sarah

The Queen of Pastry Chefs

On Thursday Sarah Magnus, the Hilton Bankside’s pastry chef will be demonstrating her patisserie skills to show-goers, offering the chance to share her unique recipes and tips of how to achieve pastry perfection.

Speciality Showcases

End your week with the stars on Taste’s Friday as Malaysian MasterChef Champion Ping Coombes shares with the crowds all that she has learnt throughout her cooking journey as she prepares her authentic recipes that will teleport your taste buds to her Malaysian home town of Ipoh.
Francesco Mazzei, chef patron of Savile Row’s Italian treasure Sartoria will also be sharing his Italian intelligence with his creative dishes and skills as well as New York’s leading burger aficionado Mark Rosati as both foodie idols will take the AEG Taste Theatre stage on Friday evening.

Taste Thai on Saturday and Sunday

Chef Jude from Busaba Eathai will be sharing his secrets of how to accomplish Asian excellence at the Thai Embassy’s exhibit on Saturday and Sunday. He’ll be crafting creative Thai dishes with fresh ingredients and authentic Thai flavours.

Morizio Morelli from Margot Restaurant (opening in September) is doing a demo on Sunday at the Whole Foods Market Kitchen- your chance to preview one of the year’s most hotly anticipated restaurants…

Bangin’ Burgers and Beats

Shake Shack, the master of all things burger beautiful will be showering Taste with burgers, beer and beats. Dishing up the CheddarShack, made with 100% All-natural Aberdeen Angus beef topped with double smoked bacon and Shack cheddar cheese sauce. Treat yourself to some of their fresh-made caramel banana frozen custard topped with crumbled shortbread and sea salt- some sweet summer bites.

Ember Yard’s culinary duo

Ember Yard will be featuring in this year’s foodie wonderland exhibiting four signature dishes, including their infamous Iberico Pork and Foie Gras Burger with pancetta and melted Zamorano.
Join Ben Tish the executive chef and patron of London’s Salt Yard Group and co-founder Simon Mullins as the duo take the AEG Taste Theatre stage revealing cooking and wine pairing tips for their delightful tapas dishes.

In addition to these amazing events that will be featuring throughout Taste’s long weekend of foodie fun, Executive Chef Bjoern Wassmuth from German Gymnasium and Harrod’s Chinese restaurant Chai Wu will also be exhibiting recipes, dishes and skills to serve the hungry crowds this coming week.
