At Sauce, we’re constantly telling the stories of our clients- to journalists, to the media, and to our friends over a glass of wine! The lovely Ann Booth-Clibborn, a storytelling coach, was on hand to help us fine tune our skills on our annual away day.
Whisked off for some country air to Brill, Oxfordshire, Ann took us through a range of techniques that would help us communicate our clients and Sauce’s story even more effectively. We practised by telling anecdotes that we felt represented the Sauce spirit- cue lots of laughter and pride!
For lunch, we headed to the delightful The Pointer. Nestled in the beautiful village of Brill, The Pointer is a pub, kitchen and butchers that specialise in seasonal, British classics. With a litany of accolades (two AA Rosettes, Good Pub Guide Country Dining Pub of the Year 2016, the Telegraph’s top ten gastropubs), it’s very easy to see what the fuss is all about.
Chef Mini Patel heads up the kitchen team.
Delicious, buttery chicken with seasonal vegetables from The Pointer Farm.
And a selection of desserts for the sweet-tooth Sauce team!
Nipped into the butcher’s to pick up our free range sausages, eggs and bacon!
Full and happy, we headed out for a tour of The Pointer’s farm, guided by the lovely hosts Fi, Paul and Jamie.
Before piling back into our coach to share more stories and head back to London.
