Izy Hossack is a 19 year old blogger and Instagram sensation, and her hit blog topwithcinnamon.com is a go-to for delicious sweet and savoury recipes on both sides of the Atlantic. Her first cookbook Top With Cinnamon was published by Hardie Grant in September 2014, and is being republished in paperback in March 2016. As well as being a food writer, Izy is a photographer and food stylist, and styled and photographed all the food for her cookbook herself.
Izy has an impressive fan base, with over 185k followers on Instagram and over 6400 followers on Twitter. Jamie Oliver said on Instagram that Izy “is absolutely nailing it with awesome breads and cakes, beautiful photography AND loads of recipes that are super exciting even if you follow a restricted diet!! Loads of recipes free from gluten, wheat, dairy, meat and refined sugar!!” Gizzi Erskine said Izy is “doing crazy cool things with food… I see big things for this girl”. The Times Magazine recently named Izy as one of the world’s most followed foodies, Delicious Magazine listed Izy as one of 30 must-follow foodies on Instagram, and Vogue featured Izy in November 2015.
Much of Izy’s food is inspired by her American and Italian heritage. She creates a wide range of recipes, many of which are gluten free and/or vegan. Some of here amazing recent recipes include Flourless Chocolate Chunk and Coconut Blondies, Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls, Pumpkin Yoghurt Cornbread, Banoffee Pie Bites, and Vietnamese Pho with Courgette Spaghetti.
Izy guest writes for and collaborates with many different publications and brands including JamieOliver.com, Cuisinart UK, Green & Blacks, Romeo Gelato, Great British Chefs, The Kitchn.com, Food52.com , Miss Vogue and SORTED to name a few, and has been featured in publications such as Waitrose Food Magazine. Izy has appeared on C4’s Daily Brunch demonstrating how to make courgetti, and also joined a Divertimenti Culinary Salon Panel, alongside Sabrina Ghayour and William Sitwell.
Izy is currently studying Food Science and Nutrition at Leeds University.
