Frenchie Covent Garden

Chef Gregory Marchand’s second restaurant follows his hugely popular Paris original, which opened on the Rue du Nil in 2009.

Himself a native of the French capital, Gregory spent several long periods in London before opening Frenchie Paris, cooking at the likes of The Savoy, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and at Fifteen for Jamie Oliver, where the kitchen nickname ‘Frenchie’ originated – a return to the English capital seemed inevitable.

Frenchie Covent Garden launched on Henrietta Street in February 2016 and echoes its Parisian counterpart, with a menu of simple yet generously flavoured dishes, heavily influenced by Greg’s travels from London to New York, through to Spain and Hong Kong. Expect to find the seasonal likes of Cornish wild turbot with crushed Ratte potatoes, watercress, lemon and white asparagus, as well as the ever-popular Bacon scones with maple syrup and seasoned Cornish clotted cream.
