Pasta Feast at The Royal Exchange with Pasta Evangelists & Giles Coren’s favourite pasta dishes

This November, The Royal Exchange are partnering with Pasta Evangelists to offer an exclusive pasta masterclass, as well as a sumptuous pasta feast, and a range of collaborative hero dishes created by the chefs at both The Royal Exchange and Pasta Evangelists.

On Friday 17 November, Pasta Evangelists will host an exclusive pasta masterclass at The Royal Exchange. Having enjoyed an aperitif and antipasti in Threadneedle Bar, the expert chefs from both Sauterelle and Pasta Evangelists will teach guests to make their own pasta, including the egg-based dough and delicate folds of ravioli, and the water-based dough and gentle shaping of orecchiette. All participants will then be given the perfect pasta sauces for their creations, as well as a beautiful Pasta Evangelists box to take the whole meal home in. Starting at 6.15pm and priced at £35pp, the evening will offer the perfect introduction to the art of pasta making.

Furthermore, on Thursday 23 November, The Royal Exchange will host a 4-course pasta feast in collaboration with The Pasta Evangelists, inspired by co-founder, Giles Coren’s favourite pasta dishes, reinterpreted by Head Chef Stefano Leone. Designed to take guests on a gourmet journey around Italy, the menu is a celebration of the versatility and beauty of Italy’s national food, with an optional wine pairing and welcome negroni in Threadneedle Bar.

Reminiscent of the scorching climate and fresh seafood of the Italian islands, to start there will be an Open ravioli with red Sicilian prawns, black ink pasta, bell peppers and bisque, and steaming bowls of Sardinian Fregola with clams, bottarga, chilli, parsley, garlic, and saffron broth. To follow, the iconic Roman dish of Cacio e Pepe will be dramatically served from hollowed out wheels of Pecorino Romano. Plated at the table, dessert will offer a theatrical finale to the evening, with sharing boards of Sicilian ricotta cannolo, tiramisu from Trentino, Milanese panna cotta, and baba from Naples. Starting at 6.30pm and priced at £45pp (£65pp with wine pairing), guests will also leave with a special gift from the team at Pasta Evangelists.

Lastly, in celebration of the Italian roots of the chefs at both The Royal Exchange and Pasta Evangelists, one special collaborative dish of Fregola with clams, bottarga, chilli, parsley, garlic, and saffron broth will be available on the menus throughout Sauterelle, Threadneedle, The Grand Café and The Gallery from 6 November to 1 December. Furthermore, one collaborative dish will be available for delivery through the Pasta Evangelists website from 6 November to 1 December, while the full pasta feast menu will be available to order from 24 November to 1 December, allowing pasta fans across London to enjoy this special pasta banquet from the comfort of their own homes.
