LONGUEVILLE MANOR IN JERSEY LAUNCHES BUSHCRAFT FOR KIDS

Longueville 2

May 2017…/ DRAFT Longueville Manor, a proudly family owned and managed luxury hotel in Jersey, has launched “Bushcraft for Kids”. In partnership with local experts Wild Adventures Jersey, Longueville Manor is now offering half day, one day and two day experiences to children aged between 6 and 18.

In today’s modern society, children run the risk of becoming less connected to the natural world around them. The Bushcraft experiences are designed to get children excited about the great outdoors, learn new skills, build confidence and above all have fun!

Whether it’s for a half day while mum and dad are enjoying a leisurely seafood lunch, or a full day family experience, children are sure to enjoy an adventure-filled, educational and healthy experience. Activities include shelter and den building, visiting some of the wilder parts of the island discovering wild edible and medicinal plants, natural navigating skills, making cordage using plants and trees, and finally the great achievement of making fire by friction or other modern methods.

For younger children, Longueville Manor also offers a “mini bushcraft” exploration within their 18 acre grounds, including den building, herb and vegetable “foraging” and sea creature identification.

Longueville Manor is one of the most family friendly luxury hotels in the UK, with the owners Malcolm and Patricia Lewis placing great importance upon making the hotel as child friendly as possible. A kid’s play area, delicious children’s menus, early suppers, DVD library, babysitting and baby listening technology are but a few of the facilities on offer, together with treasure hunts, tennis lessons, cookery classes and more. The hotel has a selection of interconnecting bedrooms as well as a luxurious two-bedroom cottage that is ideal for families.

As for Jersey itself, families will discover an exceptional choice of activities, sports and attractions that the whole family will love, from beach-side fun to RIB boat trips, and from the world famous Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust to exploring the Jersey War Tunnels.

Longueville Manor’s Mini Bushcraft for Kids is priced from £50.00 per hour for up to four children.

Package prices start from £395.00 per room per night, to include full English breakfast, three hours’ bushcraft activity and table d’hôte dinner for two adults. Based on 2 adults and one child sharing a Classic Room. Supplement for full day of activities.
