D&D London launches a week of Thames-side barbecues for National BBQ Week

To celebrate National Barbecue Week (Monday, 29 May – Sunday, 4 June), D&D London’s Thames-side restaurant enclave at Butlers Wharf will be offering a collection of BBQ menus. Blueprint Café, Butlers Wharf Chophouse, Cantina del Ponte and Le Pont de la Tour will take full advantage of their dining terraces, by each offering an alfresco barbecue menu from 12-3pm and 6-8pm all week.

Offering elevated views of the Thames and Tower Bridge, Blueprint Café will be putting its terrace to good use with a barbecue offering Onglet steak with chimichurri (£15) and Moroccan-spiced lamb chops (£18.50). Butlers Wharf Chop House will stay true to its classic British roots with a menu featuring a 400g, Smoked Gloucester Old Spot pork chop (£19.50), as well as Whole grilled Dover sole with Béarnaise sauce (£41.50). Adding a thoroughbred Italian twist to National Barbecue Week, Cantina del Ponte’s limited-edition menu will include Seafood and vegetable barbecue skewers (£20), as well as Smoked scamorza cheese with mauve aubergine (£10). In keeping with its usual luxe French offering, Le Pont de la Tour’s Bar & Grill will be firing up the grill to offer dishes such as 21 day-aged Angus T-bone steak with bordelaise sauce (£32) and Herb-fed poussin (£15), accompanied by a range of salads.

As well as serving up BBQ feasts all week, each of the four restaurants will be teaming up for Butlers Wharf BBQ Festival on Saturday, 3 June. Priced at £25 per person, ticketholders will be able to sample unlimited barbecue dishes from all four restaurants (each will be offering two dishes from their menus), as well as one cocktail at the restaurant of their choice. Tickets can be purchased at http://shop.danddlondon.com/product/butlers-wharf-bbq-festival/

National Barbecue Week menus will be available at Blueprint Café, Butlers Wharf Chophouse, Cantina del Ponte and Le Pont de la Tour, from 12-3pm and 6-8pm, Monday 29 May until Sunday 4 June.

About D&D London

D&D London is a group of luxury restaurants, bars and hotels based principally in London, but also

with venues in Paris, New York and Tokyo. It was founded by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi (the eponymous D and D) in 2006, following a buyout of Conran Restaurants, which itself was established back in 1991. The company was already central to London’s restaurant scene, owning some of the capital’s most celebrated restaurants, such as Quaglino’s, Le Pont de la Tour, Chelsea’s famous Bluebird and City favourite Coq d’Argent. The group also created and owned The Great Eastern Hotel (sold to Hyatt Hotels in 2006 and now rebranded as Andaz) Alcazar in Paris and Guastavino’s in New York, among others.
