A ‘PUP’ OF TEA IS JUST WHAT LONDONERS NEED

From Sunday 22nd July, recently opened Bluebird Café, located in White City’s iconic Television Centre, will welcome guests and their four-legged friends to enjoy a very special afternoon tea.

Available every Sunday from 2.30pm – 5pm and in partnership with Europe’s number one destination dedicated to dog-welcoming holidays & travel – PetsPyjamas, the exclusive afternoon tea will offer something for humans and dogs so that the favourite British past time can be enjoyed just like tea at home.

For £21.50, the dog friendly restaurant will serve a puppy foodie dream boasting their very own vegan dog cookies, made with banana and vegan peanut butter and handmade by Head Chefs Simon Gregory & Prashant Patil. Lily’s Kitchen will also provide some naturally delicious and wholesome vegan treats, all of which will be served in luxury dog bowls from PetsPyjamas. Alongside will be something for humans and taking inspiration from its sister site Bluebird Chelsea’s much-loved afternoon tea, a three-tiered selection of Jam and cream fruit scones, Chocolate swiss roll, Carrot and citrus cupcakes, Cucumber and Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches will be on offer.

To make it pooch perfect, every furry friend will receive a complimentary summer goodie bag from PetsPyjamas with a travel water bowl, yummy treats, toy and doggy essentials when dining on the ‘Pup of Tea’ menu.

The new afternoon tea will run for six weeks and will be in support of Wild at Heart Foundation; a charity that supports animal welfare projects, particularly dog rescue, adoption and rehoming. Bluebird Café will add a discretionary £1 donation to all ‘Pup of Tea’ bills.

Guaranteed to have guests’ tails wagging (including the dog’s!), London’s prolific Pet Inspectors Heidi & Rufus have officially given their ‘paw of approval’ to the tea. In their role as Top Dog reviewers for PetsPyjamas, The Norfolk Terrier duo have clocked up their paw miles as seasoned travellers, tasked to review the nation’s holiday properties and put them to the dog-friendly test. In this case, ‘A Pup of tea’ meets the standard of excellence!

Reservations for ‘A Pup of Tea’ can be made by calling 020 3940 0700 or online via www.bluebirdcafe.co.uk.

About Bluebird Café:

Sister to the celebrated Chelsea restaurant and café, Bluebird Café opened its doors at Television Centre White City, one of London’s hottest new developments, in April 2018. Opening out onto a piazza overlooked by the Television Centre’s famous circular core, Bluebird Café White City is at the heart of the £8 billion regeneration that has opened this iconic location to residents, diners and revellers for the first time in its history. Taking the buzz and familiar charm of the café at the original Bluebird – a Chelsea landmark on the Kings Road for 20 years – this new sister brings a chic, all-day drinking and dining destination to West London. The first of Bluebird’s planned expansion in London and beyond, the 5000-square-foot space incorporates a café, bar and spacious all-year-round terrace, with interiors by David d’Almada’s Sagrada. Bluebird Restaurants’ Executive Chef Simon Gregory has created a modern European menu which is served from 8.00am-11pm daily.
