SAUCE LOVES…A JANUARY DETOX

With the beginning of the year setting in and the Christmas indulgences behind us, what better way to try and give our bodies a bit of a detox. This is not always the easiest of tasks so we have complied a list of places you can visit and still stay on track for a healthy January!

Vegan menus at Pollen Street Social
Last January, Jason Atherton’s Pollen Street Social became the first Michelin-starred restaurant in London to launch a vegan menu, offering a selection of dishes free of all animal products. Now, one year on, the team have been developing the vegan offering further to include dedicated five and eight course tasting menus spanning creative starters, main courses and desserts. Elevating vegetables, herbs and fruit to a new level, dishes include braised broccoli stem, lemon purée, toasted almonds and seaweed and sea buckthorn sorbet with coconut. The innovative menus showcase Atherton’s flair for seasonal produce, the highest quality ingredients and beautiful presentation, offering a unique opportunity to experience vegan fine dining.

‘Due Dill-igence’ at Jason Atherton’s City Social
For those going alcohol free this January, the bar at Jason Atherton’s City Social will be using Seedlip, the world’s first non-alcoholic spirit, to create Due Dill-igence, a mocktail to help guests survive Dry January. Bar Manager, Tim Laferla, will be using the Garden 108 variety, featuring fresh, grassy and floral notes, and blending it with elderflower, lemon, ginger, cucumber and the dill that lends the mocktail its playful name. Served against that incredible view over London, who needs alcohol anyway?
