Salt Yard Group was set up by Sanja Morris and Simon Mullins in 2005 with the opening of Salt Yard in Fitzrovia, followed by Dehesa in Soho in 2008 and Opera Tavern in Covent Garden in 2011. Ben Tish joined as head chef in 2006, swiftly becoming executive chef and now overseeing the three restaurant’s kitchens. All three sites specialise in Italian and Spanish charcuterie, cheese and sharing dishes, and the group recently launched a catering arm.

Sauce began working with the group in November 2011 to continue to raise the profile of the talented key team as well as increase awareness of the restaurant. TV appearances for executive chef Ben Tish have recently been arranged on Saturday Kitchen and ITV’s Alan Titchmarsh Show as well as ongoing regular chef contributions within national press including The Times, Bloomberg and The Independent. Sauce also continues to secure ongoing coverage on the restaurants in wide variety of national, lifestyle and local publications.
